Obituary of Lois Marlene Caskey

Please share a memory of Lois to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lois Marlene Caskey, daughter of Otto and Alvilde Christensen, was born on March 29, 1937.  Lois passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017.  She was the middle child of three children.

She attended elementary school in Island Falls and then attended Caronport High School.  She completed her training at Teacher’s College in Saskatoon and taught for a short time.  She later attended the U of S where she received her Bachelor of Education.  She taught at various schools including Creighton, Eston, and Ridgedale.

On April 17, 1976, she married Clifford Caskey.  They resided on a farm close to Armley, Saskatchewan and had one daughter, Erin.  In 2006, they sold the farm and moved into Nipawin.

Lois loved music, taught music lessons for years and often played the piano for morning church services.  She also loved to sew and entertain.  For many years she, Clifford and Erin participated in local fairs during the summer.  As of late, she volunteered her time a couple of days a week at the local Salvation Army Thrift Store, was involved in a local quilting club and enjoyed emailing/texting back and forth with her grandchildren.

Lois is predeceased by her parents, Otto and Alvilde, husband, Clifford, brother and sister-in-law, Lowell and Ann, and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Robin and Ellen.  Lois leaves behind her daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Kelly, grandchildren, Chloe and Landon, brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Shirley, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Marian and many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is now at peace with her Lord and Savior in heaven.
