Obituary of Virginia Broudy

Virginia Rose Broudy passed away suddenly on February 19, 2025.  Virginia was born in The Pas, Manitoba and later grew up in Cumberland House, SK., where she was a cook at Stella’s café.  She loved working there and often told stories of her time there at the café.

She met her soul mate Larry Broudy when she was 30 years old and spent the rest of her time in Nipawin, surrounded by her friends and family.  Virginia loved her husband, kids and grandkids so much.  She opened her arms to everyone and loved kids calling her granny, even when she wasn’t.  She always had a smile on her face and opened her house to everyone that came by.  Her family was her everything and she was so proud of them.  She loved watching Christmas movies, as it reminded her of Christmas’ when Crystal and Elisha were with us.  Virginia loved her dogs like they were her kids, Daisy, Jenna, Fraya and Joey.  She loved going for drives and getting coffee.  She had an amazing voice and often sang during her outings.  Virginia and Larry did karaoke and would host at the River Inn, and sometimes traveled for it as well.  She really enjoyed those trips with Larry and their music equipment in the back seat.  Her favorite song was Coal Miner’s Daughter. It reminded her of her dad Harry Pelly and how much he sacrificed for his children as a loving, caring father.  Virginia loved spending time with her mom Emma Pelly and took care of her until the very end.  Virginia was incredibly proud of her kids, Crystal, Elisha, Maurice, Angel, Roger, Larry Jr., and Raymond.  She always taught and reminded her children to seek God and to always pray.

She will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in knowing that her husband and both daughters were waiting for her at those beautiful heavenly gates.  Virginia truly missed her late husband, Larry Broudy, let us find peace knowing they are together once again… hosting a karaoke party in heaven.  You will forever be missed by so many.  Til we meet again.
