Obituary of Jason Bignell
Please share a memory of Jason to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jason was born in Thompson, Manitoba to Alison Carriere and Brian Bignell. He grew up in Cumberland House, Saskatchewan with his brothers, Brad and Darcy. In the later years he met Desiree Pelly and fell in love and had two children, Keena Chaboyer (Pelly) and Patrick Pelly.
Jason was put in the care of his late grandmother Susan. She did her best to give these boys a loving and caring home. At a young age she taught them about Jesus and they grew to know he was our loving savior who loves us and takes care of us. They loved going to church with their sister Vanessa. In 1991 unexpectedly they lost their sister Vanessa, which left their hearts and lives broken for many years.
He leaves cherished memories to his daughter and son, Keena Chaboyer and Patrick Pelly.
Jason is also survived by his mother, Alison Carriere and brothers, Kim, Brian, Brad, and Darcy Carriere/Bignell. Nephew, Tyrin Carriere. An adopted sister Renee Chiasson. Isaac (Shirley), Zac and Daisy. Reggie Jonas. Aunt Jean Carriere, and Uncles, Art and Richard Carriere. Cousins, Darrell Settee and Roddie McKay. Jason also had two very young grandsons named Atlas McLeod (Patrick’s son), and Lucius Everette Chaboyer (Keena’s son).
Jason is predeceased by his father Brian Bignell, and his loving grandma, Susan Carriere, his sister, Vanessa Carriere and his niece, Jamie. Aunties, Vitaline, Viginia Geraldine. Uncles, Ronald and Alfred.
Jason has left many happy and fond memories for his brother and mother who greatly miss him.
