James N. Gordon was born in Carrot River, SK. to John and Gladys Gordon. He grew up in Petagon, SK and later settled in Garrick, SK.
Jim met Linda and fell in love and married March 30, 1970 in Carrot River. The couple moved to Garrick where Jim was employed and later settled on their homestead south of Garrick, where Jim started his farming and welding business. Along with farming and welding Jim spent many years as an auctioneer.
Through the years they were blessed with two daughters – Tanya August 28, 1974 and Jolene June 1, 1978.
Jim’s love of welding led him to a successful business from 1972 to 2022 when he retired. Jim always dropped what he was doing to make sure his customers were tended to. In 2022 Jim sold his acreage and welding business and moved to Choiceland.
Jim’s favourite pastime was camping, fishing, farming, welding and spending time with his girls, their husbands and his grandchildren.
After a short tough battle of cancer Jim passed away peacefully with his daughters Tanya and Jolene and their husbands Stan and Kyle by his side on May 10th, 2025.
