Obituary of Norm Stensrud

Norman ‘Norm’ Allan Stensrud, age 76, passed away peacefully in his home on August 3^rd, 2025.

 

Norm was born in Trail, British Columbia to parents Allan and Emily Stensrud.  He grew up and obtained his education in Choiceland, Saskatchewan. 

 

He married Karen Debnam on September 5^th, 1970 in a small church in Choiceland.  They had two children, Mark and Nova.

 

Norm worked at the family sawmill in the winter and farmed in the summer.  He changed careers along the way from farming to hauling logs and grain.

 

He enjoyed tinkering with old trucks and tractors, snowmobiling, driving around checking crops and stopping in to visit with the locals.

 

Norm was predeceased by his parents Allan and Emily Stensrud, his wife Karen Stensrud, and brother-in-law Donald Brazier.

 

He is survived by his son Mark (Lai Maia) Stensrud and daughter Nova (Russ), grandson Parker Michayluk, sisters Deanna (Don) Brazier, Doreen (Ian) Malcomson, and Donna (Tim) Stensrud, and many nieces and nephews.
