Obituary of Clayton Warnock
Please share a memory of Clayton to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great sorrow and broken hearts that we announce that our Dad, Husband, and Grandpa -Wilbert “Clayton” Warnock, passed away on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at the age of 96 years.
Clayton was born in Nipawin, SK. He was predeceased by his parents Ed and Madge Warnock as well as siblings Kay, Melvin, Lorne, Earl, Gilbert, Beatrice, Millie, and Norman. Clayton was the youngest of 9 children.
Clayton was a drywaller for most of his working years but also did custodian work at a high school later in his career. While Clayton worked hard, one of Dad’s favourite things to do was to sing, dance and play his guitar. He was part of a music group in Nipawin that got together for jam sessions and played at the nursing home and a restaurant. Clayton and his wife Linda belonged to a senior’s dance group which toured to surrounding communities. They also curled, volunteered for Meals on Wheels and were active with the church. He enjoyed watching hockey and baseball – a big Toronto Blue Jays fan. Clayton was a very kind and gentle soul and enjoyed spending time with family, which always included a jam session.
Clayton is survived by Linda his loving wife of 18 years. He was previously married to Frances in 1957 and Thelma, who predeceased him in 2006, in 1981. He is also survived by children Doug, Cheryl (Gerry) and Gaylene (Wayne); stepchildren Arlene (Rod), Marg (Lyle), Calvin (Sherry), Greg (Val), Greg (Shirley), Donna (Matthew), Cindy (Allan), Brenda (Brent); grandchildren Larry, Melissa, Skye, Travis, Shandell, Shayne and Tyler; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dad’s honour to the Palliative Care Ward at the Pasqua Hospital at 4101 Dewdney Ave., Regina, SK., or at www.hrf.sk.ca/Ways-to-Give . We are truly grateful for the compassionate care provided to Dad and our family.
