My deepest condolences to Bev's brothers Gib & Myrna, & Neil & Gloria, Carolyn, & Val, as well as all his nieces & nephews.
Our family has so many memories of Bev living just a couple of miles away.
He joined us at the farm for many birthday, Easter, Thanksgiving & Christmas dinners over the years...& of course, the New Years Eve parties too! Bev shared his birthdate with Vicki so Mom always made a meal & a cake & we'd have a party for them.
Whenever we saw his truck go west past our lane, we'd know he was on his way to town, either Nipawin or Tisdale to do his laundry, get groceries & have a meal in a restaurant. Sure enough, a few hours later, he'd come back, most often stopping in, perfectly timed at coffee break, bringing bags of chips or cheddar popcorn (which he called cedar popcorn...lol), boxes of donuts, cakes or cookies & 2 liter bottles of pop. Mitch & Mandy loved the junk food treats & we'd all sit around & have a good visit enjoying the break from work. Bev loved to tell a joke or two to get us howling with laughter...or he'd share some riddles or rhymes.
If he was having a down day, he'd call over to the farm & say: can you pray for me Rub? He knew that there was power in prayer & he gained comfort & reassurance in discussing his eternal destination.
May you all be comforted in knowing that he is now experiencing the joys of heaven, reunited with so many of our loved ones that have gone on before.
Love, hugs & prayers,
Barb Hildebrandt
