On December 6 we said our final goodbye to Dave Swehla.

His journey was heartbreakingly short — from his confirmed cancer diagnosis on November 5, to his passing just four weeks later — yet his life was anything but brief in meaning.

 

We are immensely proud of the time we shared with him: the stories, the adventures, the lessons, the laughter, and the love. Dave was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, friend, and co-worker. He lived his life to the fullest with pride, joy, and gratitude, and he left this world with peace in his heart, ready for his next horizon.

 

Please join us in honouring Dave’s life and legacy, knowing that this goodbye is only for now.

A funeral will be held on February 7, 2026.
