Obituary of Eloy Edward Schermann

Please share a memory of Eloy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Obituary of Eloy Edward Schermann, with deep sadness we share the passing of Eloy on December 30th, 2025 at the age of 88.

Welcoming him to eternal life are his parents Joseph and Helen (Gaertner) Schermann, as well as brothers Clarence, Conrad, Norman, Jerome, James, and sisters Elaine and Della Rose.  Brothers-in-law Alex Liss and Robert Goodwin and sisters-in-law Bunny, Linda, and Patricia.

He is survived by brothers Senan (Nadine) Abdon, Cyril, Patrick (Cheryl) and sisters Marie Liss, Joan Goodwin, Wanda (Mark) Nolte, Bibiana (Bruce) Jardine, and Loralei.  Sister-in-law Sylvia, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eloy was born in 1937 at Wilkie.  He was raised in Leipzig where he graduated from Grade 12 from the convent in 1955.  Eloy worked for the Co-operative retailing system for approximately 37 years.  His career started in Landis with stops in Codette, Choiceland, and finally Nipawin.  He was an honorary 3rd Degree Member of the Knights of Columbus.  He was also a fan of the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Philadelphia Flyers.  His daily visits to the Dairy Queen meeting his friends brought him much joy.  His greatest joy was riding his motorcycle which took him many places.

The family of Eloy would like to thank the staff and doctors at the Nipawin Hospital, as well as Sharon Campbell.

Flower gratefully declined.  Donation can be made to Kinsmen Telemiracle or the Nipawin Region Health Foundation in lieu of flowers.
