Obituary of Doreen Dussion

It is with deep sorrow that the family of Doreen Muriel Laliberte Dussion of Cumberland House, Saskatchewan, announces her passing on January 4, 2026, at the age of 67.

Doreen was a devoted and loving Kokum to her grandchildren, a caring mother to her four children, and a loyal friend to many. She had a warm spirit and a deep love for her family, who meant everything to her.

Doreen had a great love for animals and kept her pets close to her heart. She cherished living off the land and spent many meaningful moments at camp with her late husband. Together, they enjoyed participating in fish derbies and creating memories she held dear. She also treasured time spent at home surrounded by her nieces, nephews, and siblings, who always brought her laughter and joy. In her quiet moments, she enjoyed bingo, ten thousand and her favorite card game, Kanasta.

Doreen is survived by her children, Vikki (Bill) Sewap, Keith Laliberte, Stacey (Sunni) Chaboyer, Brad (Tracey) Laliberte, her favorite niece Tracie Dorion, numerous grandchildren and chapans. Her siblings, John (Jane) Laliberte, Joe (Kim) Laliberte, Wayne (Bernice) Laliberte, Neil Laliberte, Sam Laliberte, Lorna (Ernest) Chaboyer, Patricia (Bob) Fiddler, Frank Laliberte, Randy (Darlene) Mckay, Earl (Kim) Mckay, Delores Mckay Templeton.

She was predeceased by her parents John Baptiste and Victoria Laliberte and her siblings Sidney Laliberte, Peter Laliberte, Robert Laliberte, Gerald Laliberte, Rebecca Laliberte and Emily Dorion, her granddaughters, Jasmine and Victoria and numerous extended families.

Doreen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
