Romeo (Rocky) Emile Joseph LeComte
Rocky was born on the family farm by Bjorkdale, Saskatchewan to his parents, Emile Joseph and Marie Zelia (Turcotte) LeComte. He grew up in the Bjorkdale area attending school at Barrier Ford country school close to the family farm.
Rocky is survived by his four sons; Mitchell (Sherrie), Perry (Brenda) Lemont (Monty) (Evelyn) and Dean (Verna), his second wife Margaret and her daughter Debbie. He is also survived by his siblings Yvette Smith, Marcel (Amelia) LeComte, Ernest (Mona) LeComte and Juliette (George) Hill, as well as 9 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews.
Rocky was predeceased by his parents and two grandsons, as well as siblings; Beatrice, Lucille, Rene, Theresa, Lionel, Julien, Lucien and Leonard, as well as several inlaws, nephews and nieces.
Rocky was a mechanic by trade and worked in various communities throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan. He settled in Shellbrook and became the owner/operator of Rock's Husky Service. He was a member of Kinsmen and K40 organizations while living in Shellbrook. Rocky was also a councilor for the villiage of White Fox after moving to that community, where he still resided at the time of his passing.
Fishing and camping were a couple of his lifelong happy places and he enjoyed the many trips with family to the lake. As well he enjoyed doing carpentry and was quite pleased to make things especially for his family. He was a jack of all trades and if anything needed fixing he could do it.
