Obituary of Bonnie Matton

Please share a memory of Bonnie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Bonnie Rose Matton was born in Porcupine Plain, SK to Rene & Rose Matton. She grew up in Clemenceau until the age of 12, and then moved to Nipawin, SK.  She started school while still in Clemenceau and finished school in Nipawin.

Bonnie had three children, Brandon Wiebe, Mikey Wiebe, Amanda Hue and three step-children, Shane Hue, Bret Hue, and Dustin Hue.

At an early age Bonnie married Calvin Wiebe in Hudson Bay.  During that time they lived in Clemenceau.  She held many jobs in her life.  She worked in Hudson Bay at the SAAN Store and the Post Review.  The relationship with Calvin ended and she met Raymond Hue.  They spent many years together.  She decided to continue her education, and became an LPN.  She worked as an LPN in Porcupine Plain, Hudson Bay and Lloydminster.  Bonnie was brave enough to start her own business, The Hudson Bay Janitorial, where she provided janitorial services at the Weyerhaeuser Mill and supported a number of employees.  She also worked in retail in her final working days.

Bonnie loved painting, fishing, camping, quadding and rock picking. Her love of nature brought her to The Outback at Wapiti, where she enjoyed communing with nature.  One of her greatest joys was spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild.

Bonnie is predeceased by her parents: Rene & Rose Matton; her brother, Garry Matton; sister-in-law: Tina Matton; and Linda Matton; and brother-in-law: Dave Nichol.
