Obituary of Vera Nowlin

   The family of Annie Vera Nowlin has announced her sudden passing the morning at the age of 73 in Didsbury, Alberta.

   Annie Vera was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan November 14th, 1951 to parents Abraham and Lena Friesen with her 8 siblings in Love Saskatchewan. She married Lyle Nowlin in 1971 and raised two children on a farm in the Torch River district, a daughter Nancy and son Jerry.

   Vera as everyone knew her was a member of the Torch River Ladies club that she served and cherished for many years making friends and many memories. She had a passion for artistic painting. She created many beautiful watercolor and acrylic paintings for family, friends and businesses. More notably is the welcome sign at the entrance to the Town of Love and design of the Canada Post Stamp for the Love Post Office. She loved spending time to enjoy a cup of coffee with family and friends.

   She moved to the Stettler, AB in 2004 until her move to Didsbury AB recently to be closer to her family.

   She will be missed by her daughter Nancy (Collin) Georget, grandson Paul and grand-daughter Jeri-Anne, sister Helen Ordos of Edmonton AB, brother William (Ruth) of Nipawin Sask. and numerous nephews and nieces.

   Vera was predeceased by her son Jerry, parents Abraham and Lena Friesen, brothers Jake, John, Henry and Donnie, sisters Lillian and Marie. A memorial service will be held at a later date in the community of Torch River Saskatchewan.
