Obituary of Lorraine Faye Thomas

Please share a memory of Lorraine to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Lorraine Thomas was born on December 24, 1965, to Angus Settee and Madeleine (Greenleaf) Goulet in Cumberland House, SK.  She grew up in Cumberland House with mom and dad Madeleine and Robert Goulet, her siblings, sister Alma, brothers Bill, Rudy, Irvin, John, Logan, and Tassie.

Lorraine went to school in Nipawin, SK at L.P. Miller High School for her grade 11.  She took her homecare through SIIT in Nipawin.  She went on to attend Nortep where she got her fourth year in B. Education and went on to get her Bachelor of Social Work in Saskatoon through University of Regina.  She took a few years off work as the Health Director to take her Business Diploma in 2012 at SIIT in Prince Albert, SK.  On November 6, 2018, she received her certificate in Health Management in Banff, AB.

Lorraine had a great passion for the CHCN, everything she worked toward was for the betterment of the CHCN Members.  She worked tirelessly to make sure we had the best services for our community.

Mom married her soulmate on December 14, 1991.  Together they raised 4 children.  Lorraine and Glenn were blessed with a great love for one another which saw them through a lot of hard times.  They were blessed with 8 grandchildren whom they loved dearly.

Mom lived a hard and humble life, so she worked very hard to make sure her children and grandchildren would never have to live a hard life like she did.  Everything she accomplished was for her husband, her children and her grandchildren.  Family was the most important thing to her she loved her mother so greatly that she followed her home to the lord.

Lorraine leaves to treasure her memory with her husband Glenn Thomas, children Glenna (Foster), Lesley (Leon) Budd, Angus, Glenn Jr.; grandchildren Danica (Zaine), Vanessa, Brant, Bailey, Ava, Casen, Samara; Heaven sister Alma; brothers William, Rudy (Shelly) John, Logan, Tassie; special sisters Beverly Goulet, Hazel Harris, Lorrette Deschambeault-Nabess; aunties Josephine Silvernagel, Brenda Greenleaf and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Lorraine is predeceased by her son baby Norman Patrick, mother Madeleine Goulet; father Angus Settee; brothers Raymond Dussion, Irvin Greenleaf & Angus Settee Jr.; auntie Marie Deschambeault (Lionel); uncle Horace Greenleaf (Marie); maternal grandparents William and Rosalie Greenleaf; paternal grandparents Thomas and Adelaide Settee; mother in law Margaret Thomas; father in law Angus Thomas; sister in law Marjorie Turner and brother in law Clyde Thomas.
