Obituary of Frank Funk

Frank was born on January 20, 1926 to Frank and Maria Funk. He grew up on the family farm in the Teddington district. He attended Newfield School in Lost River until grade 8, then began his lifelong career as a farmer.
On August 1, 1951 he married Peggy Leslie and together they raised five children – Betty, Bonnie, Ken, Sharon and Vicky. Peggy and Frank celebrated their 68th Anniversary last summer.
Frank enjoyed woodworking, and spent countless hours out in his shop where he would repair and maintain equipment for his farm. He also enjoyed fishing and spending time with family – especially his grandchildren.
He leaves to mourn his wife Peggy, children: Betty Cary and her son David; Bonnie (Horst) Wufka; Ken (Rose) Funk, their children, son Michael (Alison), daughters Jennifer (Kyle) and Beverly (Paul); Sharon (Rick) Peters, daughters Rebecca (Bubba) and Erin (Jared); Vicky McWatt (Richard Erb), sons James and Jeremy Longworth.
Frank is also survived by 9 great grandchildren Brooke, Benjamin, Danielle, Jaelyn, Kayla, Ashley, Brock, Cayden and Rylee; and 3 great great-grandchildren Olivia, Charlie and Reiner.
He is predeceased by his sisters Olga Selent and Mary May and brothers Pete, George, Conrad and Gerhard Funk.
