My wife Lisette.
She was and is an inspiration to me.
She loved life. You could see it in everything she did.
She loved Jesus. You could tell by that as well.
She was passionate about sharing Christ and helping those in need.
She did not just enjoy gardening, lawn cutting or snow shovelling, she loved it.
She did not just have kids, she treasured them.
Her grands were her joy as well.
Cooking and cleaning she did with passion.
She got more out of the Sunday school lessons she taught than the kids she figured. It kept her in the word.
She was enthusiastic about near everything. Like helping me at work. She was a terrific painter.
She loved to serve and never wanted the spot light.
She worshipped God with all her heart in all things including singing, prayer and fasting.
She was merciful to the poor and kind to those in need. Even those whom wronged her.
To her it was pure joy to love on the senors of our area with home cooked meals and visits to hospitals.
She wanted to comfort those in our community by attending funerals. Which were many.
She ministered to the sick in many ways including through a ministry long before I met her.
She was passionate about Christian camping and loved picnics.
We read the word of God every morning from her well worn Bible and prayed every day together.
She use to sow and loved that too.
She often told me that she was born in the wrong generation. She saw herself in a long ago era of homesteading.
My bride was energetic and healthy but was unable to overcome cancer.
She was considerate of near everyone and did not want to leave her kids with a pile of things to sort when she died so declutering was often important to her as well.
I considered it an honour to not only allow her to do all these things but to help her do them and to never stand in her way of doing them. I was happy to see her so enjoy life.
There were times when there was pure joy in her heart like when she caught fish, held new born grands and found her long lost daughter.
But most of all it was wonderful to be loved by her. I for one can say that.
Thank you Lord for her life well lived for Christ and one day it will be pure joy to see her again in heaven.
Paul Smith September 27, 2020.

Our condolences to Lisette’s family. We have wonderful memories of her sweet gentle spirit and how God brought Paul and her together. Even though we didn’t spend a lot of time together she will be missed from the Smith family. God bless you all as you carry on her legacy.
