Shirley Elizabeth Hoiland-Reavie was born to Herbert and Kathleen Stewart (Baldwin) in October 1934 on a farm near Borden, Saskatchewan. She was the eldest of five children. In 1964, they purchased the family farm near Arborfield. John passed away in 1997 and in 1999 she married Stanley Reavie. They spent years traveling and enjoying retirement together before Stan passed away in 2006. She had a love for gardening, flowers, and taking care of her many house plants. She also spent many years as a cook at camp Okema with her dear friend Betty. Shirley loved baking and cooking and her bread and buns were always sought after at bake sales.
