Obituary of Dorothy Isabelle Rigg

Please share a memory of Dorothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Dorothy Isabelle Rigg was born in February, 1923 to Peter and Margaret Milne. She grew up on the farm in Young and Choiceland. In 1943, she married Herbert Rigg and they homesteaded in the area NE of Choiceland. They raised 4 children on the farm. Mom loved her flowers and garden and spent countless hours knitting, crocheting and baking. Dad passed in 1964 and mom continued to farm until 2007 when she moved into Placid Place in Choiceland. In 2015, she moved to North Haven Care Home in Smeaton and in 2019 to Carrot River Care Home. We would like to thank North Haven and Carrot River Staff for their exceptional care of mom. Left to mourn her passing are her 4 children, 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Her Children: Margaret (Jim) Cunningham (Candle Lake), Murray (Lynn) Rigg (Saskatoon), Irene (Karl) Caslor (Meota), and Beverley (Forrest) Fitzpatrick (Candle Lake); her Grandchildren: Clayton (Sheila) Cunningham, Glen (Nicky) Cunningham, Jolene (Kelly) Gress, Jason (Heather-Lynn) Caslor, and Heather (Sheldon) Wakelin; her Great-Grandchildren: Kelson Cunningham, Brogan Cunningham, Gibson Cunningham, Walker Cunningham, Lydia Caslor, Millicent Caslor, Dylan Wakelin, and Kayleigh Wakelin. Dorothy was predeceased by her Husband, Herbert; her Parents, Margaret and Peter Milne; all of her Brothers and Sisters: Doug, Archie, Gordon, Johnny, Jean, Margaret and Alice. Our final wish is that when mom enters “The Garden of Eden”, may she be provided with a gardener to help tend to the flowers…. PRIVATE Family Service
