Obituary of Robert Dean McKenzie

With great sadness, the family of Robert “Dean” McKenzie, announce his passing on Tuesday, July 11th, 2017 in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.

Dean was born on August 27th, 1931 at Hearne, Saskatchewan.  His family relocated to the Snowden District area in 1937.  He completed his grade 8 at Justamere School, and high school years in Snowden, Saskatchewan. 

Dean drove truck hauling lumber and gravel. He also loved to hunt, fish and trap. In July of 1957, he married Lenore Marsh.  They had 4 children which gave him 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. After he was married he farmed and drove a school bus.

Once he retired his favorite past times were going to the coffee shop with the guys, listening to music and watching spaghetti westerns.

Dean is predeceased by his parents Robert & Margaret, his brother Donny and his son Bob.

Left to mourn his passing are his wife Lenore, his children Cindy, Tena (John) and Brad (Tammy), his daughter-in-law Gina, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Geraldine, Audrey, Billie, Margie, Marlene (Lloyd), Judy (Stan) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many lifelong friends.
