Obituary of Felix Mullie
Please share a memory of Felix to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Felix, third child of a family of five sons, was born in April, 1927 and went to school in Arborfield. He worked on the family farm after school. As young men Felix and his brother Roland went to Texas, then moved north as the harvest progressed. This adventure prompted him to invest in larger projects; he acquired land in the Arborfield district and then became interested in the construction and mining industry in northern Alberta.
After retirement in the early nineties, he resided in Edmonton where he became known in the neighborhood for his work ethic and his interest in everything. His passion was to play the stock market and to invest. A favorite past time was to watch the markets and he learned to track his favorite stocks on the public computers at the Edmonton Public Library. He spent his retirement time doing a job he loved, dismantling and sorting various metals for a refrigeration company. If not working, he could always be found in downtown Edmonton - at the Drop-In Centre, or library, or discussing politics or the stock markets.
Felix passed away under the care of social workers and staff at Royal Alexandra Hospital on December 9, 2020.
He is survived by his son Garth and granddaughters Jane and Tessa MacLeod.
He is predeceased by his parents Julien (1981) and Marie-Louise (1990).
