I was very sad to hear of the passing of my friend, Don. Helen, my wife Joan and I met you years ago in Nipawin. Don and I went to NCHS together and shared accommodations at U of S a couple of years. He was funny and cool and smart. We played a lot of basement hockey. Don't really have any memories of him studying. In high school I remember him tossing a shot put through an open anex window while class was on. Students loved it, teacher not so much. He used to come with us to dances we played all over Sask. He appointed himself as bouncer. His presence and humor were such that he never had to fight and all was peaceful. Of course, the black painted hard hat with 'DR DOOM' lettering helped. I am so sorry for the loss you feel as a family and friends. Seems way too soon and I know he will be sadly missed and remembered well and fondly by those of us lucky enough to be touched by him in his life. May God comfort and bless you.

Helen, Shane, And Jesse, I am very sorry for your loss. I have many fun memories of working with Don at Nipawin social services. I remember his funny stories, his sense of humor, and his cowboy boots! I always felt safer when he was the one driving on the treacherous Winter roads as we went about our workday. Thank you, Kathy. When it came to bad roads, he could drive better under the influence (not sayihg that ever happened) than most of us could drive sober! Yes, he was an amazing driver! Helen Watson
