Lily Violet ‘Vi’ Budd was born in April 1927 in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan to Ned and Christina Irvine. Vi grew up in Halcro, Sask. And took all her schooling at the Halcro School. On September 19, 1955, she married Harry Budd at St. Alban’s Cathedral in Prince Albert, SK. Vi and Harry had two daughters: Nancy and Marguerite. In her younger days, Vi worked as a stenographer & typist. After the birth of her daughters, she chose to be a stay-at-home mom and homemaker. She was active with the Anglican Church Women (ACW) and the horticultural society. Hobbies she enjoyed were gardening, bird watching, growing her beautiful flowers and taking care of her family. Violet was predeceased by her loving husband, Harry Budd; her parents, Ned & Christina (Leask) Irvine; her sisters May Ashbee, Esther Ferguson and Dorothy Jorgenson; as well as brothers-in-law and sister in law. Violet is survived by her daughters Nancy Budd and Marguerite Bainbridge; her son-in-law, Greg Bainbridge; her grandchildren, Alex Bainbridge and Lynne (Kyra) Bainbridge; and numerous nieces & nephews.
