Obituary of Beryl Wager
Beryl Louise (Backstrom) Wager was born in August, 1931 to Kristina and Karl (Charlie) Backstrom in Nipawin, Saskatchewan. She was the second of six children.
Beryl married Adrian Wager in 1951. They were blessed with four children: Terry, Kristy, Ann and David.
In 1960, Beryl and Adrian bought the farm from Adrian’s parents. They farmed there together until Adrian’s death in 2010. Beryl remained on the farm with her devoted dog, Princess, until 2021.
Beryl was a hard-working home maker and farmer. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed gardening and loved her flowers. She had a passion for knitting, painting and photography.
Beryl was predeceased by her beloved husband, Adrian; her son, Terry; her grandson, Allister; her parents, Kristina and Karl Backstrom and her brother, Bruce.
Beryl is survived by her children, Kristy, Ann and David; her grandchildren: Tera, Kathleen, Trez, Megan, Josh, Paige, Nicole and Adrienne; her eleven great-grandchildren; her sisters: Beverly and Coral; her brothers: Dale and Lorne; her sisters-in-law: Iris, Valerie and Phylis; her brother-in-law, Joe (Ivan); nephews and nieces; and many wonderful family friends.
Private Family Interment will be held.
