Obituary of Ann Puszkarenko
Ann Puszkarenko was born in June 1933 at Parkview. She was the oldest of three children of Steve and Mary Krywulak. At age nine the family moved to the Aylsham district where she took her schooling at Dartmore.
June 15, 1952 Ann married Adam Puszkarenko. They had three children; Dennis, Diane and David. In 1960 they moved from their old homestead to a new home nine miles east of Nipawin. Farm life was busy raising a family, tending to farm animals and growing a large garden. Ann’s pantry was always full of fresh preserves. She loved to bake and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed hosting the company of family and friends.
After Adam’s passing she got her driver’s license at age 60. She stayed independent, living alone on the farm for many years. She enjoyed a close friendship with her friend Mike Nycholat till his passing. For a short time she lived at Pioneer House, then moving to Pineview Lodge till the time of her passing. She loved music particularly country classics and old time dance party.
Ann had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She was there for grandchildren and supported everything they did. She beamed with joy over her great-grandson Tommy.
She is survived by Dennis (Joanne), Diane, grandchildren Lindsay, Justin, Ashley (Kris), great-grandson Tommy, sister Mary, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Adam, son David, father Steve, mother Mary, brother Bill, niece Heather, father in law Harry, mother in law Maria, sister in laws Audrey and Helen, brother in laws Bill & Pete, and close friend Mike.
