Obituary of Dean Seabrook

Dean grew up in Carrot River. He attended school in Carrot River and Nipawin.   He had on-the-job training at the Carrot River Bakery, where he was the delivery boy during his teenage years. He was trained by Tom Fockler and worked for him until Tom’s retirement. Then he worked for Sarah Doerksen until she closed the business.

Dean then worked for The Family Bakery in Nipawin from 2000-present (March 30, 2023). Dean had to leave work in March 2023 due to illness, ‘Baker’s Lung’.

Dean was an avid fisherman and loved his time on the lakes. He also loved his 4-wheeler and touring the countryside.

Dean was involved with the Carrot River Fire Department for over 20 years. He was also a goal judge for the Nipawin Hawks and the Carrot River Loggers. He enjoyed hockey games very much. Later, when he was unable to attend due to his illness, he enjoyed listening to the game on the radio.

The Bakery was his life! He enjoyed the work and the staff that he spent so many hours working with.

Dean is predeceased by his grandparents, Harold & Lena Seabrook, Barney & Jessie Lamey, Fred Marsh and Frieda Kunitz.

Dean leaves to mourn his mom, Norma; his dad, Jerry; his brothers Brad (Joanne) and Jeff (Loretta); his sister, Wendy (Russell); and many nieces and nephews and cousins.

A Private Family Service will be held.
