Obituary of Marilyn Elves-Walton
Marilyn Marie Elves-Walton born to Arvid and Judy Elves in Nipawin, Saskatchewan.
She grew up north of the Torch River/Nipawin area. She received her education in White Fox from kindergarten to Grade 9 where she then transferred to Nipawin from Grade 10 to Grade 12. After graduation in 1993, she moved to Saskatoon to pursue her passion at Marca Hair School. After graduation in 1994, she stayed to teach at Marca well into the 90’s. She had a brief stay in Amsterdam, Holland where she lived for six months before returning to the chair in Saskatoon in 1998. In the early 2000’s, she moved back to Nipawin where she had her first born Zara. She then owned her own salon where she apprenticed many in her 30 years in the industry while also supporting her family. In 2008, her and Wayne welcomed her second born, Peyton. In 2009, she married Wayne and they had their third born Amelia in 2010.
Marilyn enjoyed many activities such as crafting, painting, sewing, quilting, motorbiking, brick laying, rock picking/removing all the grass, being outdoors, and most recently developed an interest in fishing, summer that is. Her favorite activity of all was to watch her kids participate in volleyball, gymnastics, bowling and track.
Marilyn is predeceased by her parents: Judy & Arvid Elves.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Walton (41); her daughters: Zara (24), Peyton (15), and Amelia (14); her mother & father-in-law, Collen & Richard Walton; her sister-in-law, Janice Neiven (Brad); her siblings: Shelia Bayliss (Warren), Barry Elves (Leona), Raymond Elves (Lisa); & many nieces and nephews.
