Obituary of Margaret Johnson
Margaret was born March 18th, 1933, the second child of Peter A Peters and Agatha (Dyck) Peters. In 1938, her family moved to Lost River. This is where her best childhood memories happened. She has told many stories of sledding down the big hill, and spending time with her uncle, aunt and cousins. This is also where she first heard about Jesus.
She also lived in Star City for a while before meeting and marrying Edwin Johnson. Their wedding took place in Aylsham, Saskatchewan on January 29th, 1952. They spent many winters working at sawmill camps. The rest of the year they worked together on the farm they bought in Battle Heights. Through the years three daughters were added to their home.
Margaret fell and broke her leg on March 1st, 2004. She tried walking with a walker but had another bad fall and had to use a wheelchair ever since.
Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Edwin who passed away in April 2007.
Margaret is survived by her three daughters: Connie Martins, Sunnia (Robert ) Friesen and Joan (Kelvin) Funkner; grandchildren: Shane (Sheri) Meston, Candice (Richard) Petersen, Dallas Armstrong, Kristina Raynard, DeAnna Brenton, Kelly (Chantel) Friesen, Caleb Funkner and Jonathan Funkner; great-grandchildren: Andrew Meston, Calder, Rhesa, Sam Petersen; Autumn, Raya, Gavin, Zoey, Natalie, Nathaniel, Riley Armstrong; Gage, Georgiana Brenton; Liddy, Jordi, Kasey Friesen; her sister, Susan(Vince); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
