Obituary of Emile Pluhowy

Emile Pluhowy was born around the Cudworth, Saskatchewan area on February 4th, 1935 to Peter and Maggie Pluhowy.

As a young boy, his parents moved around for work and finally settled around the Barrier Ford area where Emile attended school.

In 1943, they moved to Ralph Bernard’s Place where Emile completed his education to grade 6.

Emile left home with one of his brothers and set out to work in many locations throughout Saskatchewan with any type of jobs that he could find at the time to make ends meet.

In November of 1957, Emile met Lute Lilley and her two children.  They married and lived in Dilkie, Saskatchewan and eventually moved to Bjorkdale.  The family grew, together they have; William in 1959, Norma in 1962, Steven in 1965, and Judy in 1969, and one son that passed away in 1975.  After 25 years of marriage, Emile and Lute were divorced.

Emile worked for Highway Construction for Ronnie Lajorie in 1973, for the Department of Highways in Carrot River area.

In 1985, Emile met and married Ann Sinclaire and moved to Glaslyn, Saskatchewan. 

In 1994, Emile decided to take early retirement and moved back to Carrot River.  While living in Carrot River, Emile and Ann had gone their separate ways.

Emile enjoyed curling, racing, chuckwagons and chariot horses.  Helping out where ever he was needed as a farmhand and helping at many social functions in the area.

Emile is predeceased by his; father Peter, mother Maggie, brothers Peter and Henry, sisters Alice and Sylvia, son Willie and step-son Eddie.

He is survived by his beloved children; daughter Norma Miller (Glenn), son Steven (Bonnie), daughter Judy Glenn, step-daughter Donna (Lucien) Desrosiers.  His grandchildren; Guy, Leeland, Chris, Beth, Brett, Wesley, Derek, Dylan, Dona, Michael, Amanda, Hugh (Stephine), Glenn Jr. (Ernie), Sheldon, Rikkilyn, and numerous grand-grandchildren.

As of November 2015, Emile moved and resided in Newmarket Place where he had passed away.
