Obituary of Wilf Kuhberg

Please share a memory of Wilf to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Wilford Alden Kuhberg was born at the Nipawin Union Hospital to Erdmann and Mary Kuhberg, the youngest of 11 children - predeceased by brothers Leonard, Jake, Richard, Wilhelm and sister Mary Lou. Throughout his 67 years, Wilf resided in Slave Lake AB, Whitecourt AB, Salmon Arm BC, Singapore S.E. Asia and then back to Nipawin SK for the last 30 years commuting to work in SK and AB plus internationally. Wilf was an industrious and creative man and with his blessed ingenuity set up many self-employed businesses: liquid feed for farmers, firewood sales, vegetable sales including the best tasting corn and a 25 acre Saskatoon berry farm, even “farmed” four cows at one point. Travels for both holidays (Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Scotland and Norway) and employment provided many awesome opportunities and memories. Resident of Singapore with family for 3.5 years! Wilf loved spending time with family and pets, had a good sense of humor and enjoyed the camaraderie with Murray Mason and other coffee friends at A&W where they solved the world’s issues. A message from Wilf: Go on with your life, don’t worry about falls, will miss you all dearly. Keep your chin up until the glorious day when we’re together again to share a pot of cheesy macaroni and cheeseburgers. Farewell! Cremation has taken place and as per Wilf’s wishes, a “CELEBRATION OF LIFE” will be held at the Kuhberg Saskatoon Berry Farm on Mabel Hill Road in the summer of 2021 preceding the annual berry harvest and will honor the ongoing pandemic guidelines. Sincere appreciation and love to everyone including family, friends, neighbors and healthcare staff who provided support through Wilf’s challenge and battle with esophageal cancer which he bravely endured! Wilf is survived by wife Sylvia, daughter Natania (Dion) and Kristen (Jake) and four granddaughters Shay (Andrew), Hadley, Declan and Bowen, surviving brothers Carl (Carol), Alfred, Henry and surviving sisters Julieanna (Ed) and Linda plus numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home in Nipawin SK.
