I met Vida at the Tri City Horticulturial club……..and I have pictures when the club toured her yard …her standing in her absolutely beautiful garden. She was also there for me when I needed some support a treasure of a person indeed. Deb MacLeod

Sincere condolences to the Family. We only met Vida a couple of times but she was certainly a lovely lady. Della and Christina spoke so highly of her we felt we knew her. May your beautiful memories help you through the hard days. Hugs and prayers.

My sympathies to all of Vida's family. Vida and my Mom, Helen, were friends from nursing school in the 50's. Friends for over 70 years!! And Vida had no other choice but to befriend all of Helen's kids too. Vida always kept in contact, sending cards and letters sharing pictures of her flowers garden- keeping that 70 year connection going. It was always so nice to see her in person, coming to Saskatoon to visit her friends and family. Thanks Della for making that happen. You were always there to help her out. Vida had a happy, strong spirit. Always interested in what all the Kays kids and our families were busy doing. Perhaps the secret to her happy long life is that interest in everything- whether it was people, or gardening, art, or games. She was always interested. A good example to follow. I am grateful to have known such a lovely person. She lived a good long life and you can't ask for anything more than that. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.
